Old St. Mary’ Chapel
5251 Front St., Rocklin, CA 95677
If you are looking for a traditional wedding venue you should consider Old St. Mary’s Chapel, built in 1883.
This is a beautiful small venue for an intimate wedding, as it comfortably seats 90 guests but has a full capacity of 110, and there is plenty of parking.
It offers an annex room with a large bathroom for the bride to get ready for the ceremony with a side door to come around to the front of the chapel for that big entrance! Only small receptions can be held at this venue, on the landscaped patio, but there are plenty of larger reception sites and hotels nearby. There are no kitchen facilities on-site, but you can have catering services on the patio with no problems. Surprisingly for such an old building, the chapel even has heating and air conditioning, insulation, and a sound system so it perfect for any time of the year.
The chapel offers 2 wedding packages, a 5-hour package which includes time for rehearsal, decorating, and the ceremony and is priced at $975, and a 3-hour package, for simple ceremonies, priced at $675. These prices include the use of the patio during your contracted time, and you can add time at $190 per hour. If you’re looking to have a larger outdoor reception the surrounding park area can be booked through Rocklin City Parks and Recreation. Plus, if you are on active duty or a first responder you will receive a 10% discount!

The Firehouse Restaurant
1112 Second Street, Sacramento, California 95814
If somewhere in the city is more your thing, The Firehouse may be the perfect option
Built in 1853, it is located in the heart of the historic riverfront district where Engine Company No. 3 was originally housed.
With 12-foot ceilings, mahogany wainscoting, ornate mirrors, and huge paintings the inside space is beautifully atmospheric. The Courtyard is the most popular choice for weddings, with wrought-iron balconies, ivy-covered brick walls, fountains, and a canopy of mulberry and Chinese elm trees. String lights woven through overhanging branches create a magical feeling after the sun goes down.
You can also add the Courtyard Grill to your space, which has a beautiful Tiffany-style glass dome, long bar, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a dominant fireplace. These rooms will hold up to 300 seated guests or 500 standing guests, or if you are looking for a smaller space the Firehouse itself holds up to 120 seated guests or 175 standing guests.
The rental fee for the venue ranges from $750 to $1,500 depending on the day of the week, time of day, and space wanted, but the price includes tables and chairs, linen, and silverware etc., and a dance floor and bride’s dressing area can be arranged. You will then need to add on the price of the meals which are $58 to $88 per person and includes 3 courses and hors d’oeuvres.
1052 Melody Ln, Roseville, CA 95678
Prefer something modern and unique? BLOC is a 7100 square foot converted warehouse, and a total blank canvas
It is a little pricier than some of the other venues listed, but it gives you absolute freedom with the ability to fully customize the space to fit your aesthetic.
This location has a lounge area for guests, a bridal lounge, a large parking lot, catering prep area, venue security, WiFi, and an open vendor policy so you are not tied down by ‘preferred vendors’, a luxury not offered at most wedding venues! Once you have your date booked you will be assigned a venue representative to help you with anything venue related, and they will be there on the day-of to make sure everything goes smoothly.
BLOC accommodates up to 285 seated guests or 300 standing guests and offers 4 to 24-hour rental periods. This means if you choose to rent for the 24 hours (10am-10am) you can have your ceremony and reception and then come back the next day to do all the packing up.
Rental fees are from $2,000 Mondays to Thursdays, from $4,500 on Fridays, from $5,500 to about $7,500 on Saturdays, and from $4,250 on Sundays. Exact prices depend on the time of year, number of guests, and rental period, but taxes and cleaning fees are included in the price.
